The pair join Nordavind on free transfers and will step into the roles left vacant by Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli, who will reportedly link up with Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg and three former NiP players on Dignitas, and Haris "H4RR3" Hadzic, who was released from his contract at the end of 2019.
NaToSaphiX had been on the lookout for a new challenge since August, when he was released by Heroic after just three months with the team. In December, he attended cs_summit 5 with mousesports as a replacement for Özgür "woxic" Eker, who was ruled out due to visa issues, helping Finn "karrigan" Andersen's side to win the tournament.
Unlike NaToSaphiX, who has spent most of his career playing for Danish teams, HS is no stranger to playing for international teams. The former PENTA and OpTic member spent six months on GamerLegion in 2019 before being benched when the organisation decided to build an all-Swedish roster. After becoming a free agent in October, he played for ex-Windigo in the European Champions Cup and SECTOR: MOSTBET.
"We are thrilled with the addition of Natosaphix and HS to fill out our lineup for 2020," team coach Dennis "Rytter" Rytter told HLTV.org. "Now we have five experienced players who have tried a lot in their careers and hopefully we will achieve even more together.
"With Natosaphix and HS we get two very hungry players who hopefully will push us even further. We will work hard to achieve some great things together."
The arrivals of these two high-profile players further enhance Nordavind's credentials as one of the leading organisations in the Nordic region. On Tuesday, they completed the signing of the Norwegian roster known as Riddle, headlined by former Oslo Lions member Thomas "Vertigo" Andresen.
Nordavind will make their first official appearance on Friday in the European open qualifier for DreamHack Anaheim, in which they will be debuting the following lineup:
